Love Yourself
When you look in the mirror, do you only see the things you wish you could change? How often do you notice things you appreciate?
I first noticed my acne onset at the beginning of last month. As my skin flared up I felt less than worthy. I was hard on myself. Eventually I realized that degrading mentality was only making me feel worse.
You are worthy, just as you are.
By being mindful in the moment, I extended myself compassion. I could accept that acne was happening.
Once I created peace within myself, I understood how I could adapt. I visited a dermatologist and received medicine to try. I spent a little extra time during my morning self-care routine to mindfully wash my face and apply the new cream.
Whether the medicine helps or not, I know I am worthy just as I am. Now when I look in the mirror I appreciate my eyes. I see compassion looking back at me as I learn how to flow through life's constant changes.
You are worthy just as you are. Ask yourself, how can I show myself a little more compassion today?
