Emotional Nourishment
Wholeness is not a one time gain, you will have to fulfill your needs and desires enduringly.
When you are hungry, you eat to feel full. However, in a matter of hours, you feel hungry again. Wholeness works the same way.
You do not get mad at your body for using the provided nutrients and then needing more food. That is how the body is meant to work. Nor should we be upset with our needs and desires to need more fuel as well. We use the emotional nourishment or gain new feedback and need attention again.
If you have pizza for lunch, you know how to get it again by repeating the pattern.
However, you may want hamburgers for dinner. You are probably not going to go to the same place to get those two meals. If you are in an unfamiliar place, you will have to look up restaurant options, read reviews and make your selection from a new menu.
Like our entrée choices, our needs and desires come from different sources. We must be willing to seek out new places to fulfill ourselves entirely.
Your fulfillment of need and desire is a continuous cycle. Our emotional pains rise and fall at their own rhythm in the same way our hunger pains do.
As the enduring cycle repeats, we can help each other acknowledge moments of bliss and know our wholeness will come back again. Want encouragement through life’s undulations? Join the Balancing Wholeness Community on Facebook!
