5 Ways to Increase Clarity
My greatest struggle in launching my business was finding clarity.
I had a bunch of ideas about what I wanted to do. However, I didn’t fully understand what I had to offer, let alone be able to communicate that to my audience.
It took me a lot of time and searching to figure out how to get clear on my idea. In fact, if I’m completely honest, I’m still working on it.
However, I am learning to stop starting from scratch. So, I want to share my knowledge with you. Get your focus headed in a positive direction.
Here are 5 ways I increased my clarity to move forward in my business and creative projects:
1. Focus on purpose
Get clear on your “why.” Once you understand your motivation, you will be able to persevere when times get difficult. Your purpose will lead you toward a “game-changer” project, which you can accomplish by breaking down into achievable goals.
If you get stuck ask yourself:
What do I love to do?
What am I good at?
How can I serve others?
The place where these three intersect is a good indicator of your purpose.
2. Define your audience
Who is your ideal consumer? Who will benefit most from what you have to offer?
Though all types of people may come across your content, target a specific audience for best results.
3. Set your outcome
Define what you want your finished product to be.
Do you want to facilitate interaction, do you offer a service, or do you create a physical (or digital) product?
4. Be genuine
People sense authenticity. Even if you are still figuring out exactly what you offer and how you want to set up your business, you will gain exposure by being your unique self.
You don’t have to try to be like anyone else, you can pave your own path.
5. One step at a time
You don’t have to do everything at once. Take it one step at a time.
Starting a business or a big creative project is a big venture and there is a lot to learn. Give yourself some compassion as you begin this journey of great growth. You may make mistakes, and that is okay! You can learn and make better choices as you gain experience.
Getting a clear picture of what you offer will set your direction and give you a huge boost in confidence.
