Beltane {May 1, 2022}
Beltane, also known as May Day, is a day of celebration of spring. This day marks the halfway point between Spring and Summer. As the days grow longer and warmer, our energy increases and the desire to manifest prevails.
Knowing our direction is imperative as we move into a season of action. Get clear on your path and stick to it for favorable results.
Beltane themes include awakening, rebirth, new beginnings and fertility.
You may have heard of a May Pole dance. This is a large pole often standing in an open field with strands attached to the top. While dancing in a circle around the pole, you braid the strands together. This is a symbol of strength in union, a reminder that we are all connected.
Each of us is strong and whole and when we come together to combine our power, we are prosperous.
This ceremony often marks the beginning of the planting season. The earth is tilled and ready to accept the seeds of life. Nurturing crops, flowers and herbs are a way to connect our own growth with that of nature.
Write on a sheet of paper one thing that you wish to manifest this season and plant it in a pot with a seed or sprout. As you nourish this plant with water and sunshine, think of your desire and it will be a representation of your inner work and outward action.
By setting an intention with the soil and the earth, we are deciding our path of growth. It is not comfortable to grow and expand, but it is transformative and allows us to yield the fruits of our labor.
