Be at Peace with Yourself
I put more limitation, more pressure and more expectation on myself than anyone else could. Then I put guilt on myself for not completing ALL the things.
This is my old story. This is the habit I am determined to break this year with my intention of completion.
My first step is to take the pressure off, analyze the limitations and focus the expectation.
This meditation came after feeling overwhelmed with emotions. To act on this intention, I pulled an impromptu Oracle card from my Animal Spirit Deck.
I asked, "How can I focus my energy?" I pulled the Sea Serpent (a Spirit element).
The Sea Serpent is an agent to help direct energy into a healthy current. Perfect! I can focus my energy in two ways... Let go of self judgement to express my desires. Allow forgiveness to heal emotional wounds.
Since I'm slowly beginning to feel better and do more as I continue to heal, I'm finding my (too) high expectations slowly creeping back into my story. With a deep breath I let go of my desire to do it ALL and forgive myself for not being 100% yet.
The Sea Serpent is connected to the Sacral chakra - the seat of creativity and desire. This concerns pleasure and is blocked by guilt.
My pleasure lately has been spending ample time in meditation. I sit in stillness with my thoughts. I do breathing exercises. I keep a gratitude journal. I color. I pull Oracle and Tarot cards. I answer journal questions each new and full moon. I align my energy with the seasons. I speak affirmations.
I feel stuck because I want to share this practice that keeps me balanced and strong, but I feel the weight of some of it not being accepted by all.
I am ready to let go of that guilt and openly share what brings me pleasure - understanding my emotions, mind and body.
My experiences are transforming me and allowing me to be at peace with myself and my desires.
