Even Hard Days Can Be Good Days

Two different visitors witnessed me geeking out over this unique bug that came to visit me at the window today.

I don’t yet know what this bug is, but I will find out. (I left my trusty John Muir Laws Sierra identification book at home.)

It was large enough to be noticeable, and distinct enough to catch my attention.

I took these pictures, and pointed him out to visitors. It was a fun few moments of distraction in an otherwise very good, but draining day.

I came home to relax in my hammock and enjoy some time with the Cookies Cat, who is entirely enjoying his reign of being free outside.
