A Random Day and Random Thoughts

The day was hot, but my mind was on fall. It didn’t matter that there was sweat on my brow, I sought after pumpkin, and spice, and everything nice.

I saw all kinds of fun things. These were a few, but I didn’t get any of these.

I did find something very special.

I went to Lowes to get a handheld electric drill and ended up with a couple more goodies as well.

Pumpkin season was in full swing at the store. As I walked through, I saw this mat that spoke to me.

When I was a little girl, my parents always called me Pumpkin. I have a great relationship with my parents so this memory brought me great joy. Especially these last few years where health has been up and down and we remember that we do not live forever.

I brought this mat home so that everyday when I come out my door I am greeted by the saying “hey there pumpkin” that reminds me of my parent’s eternal love and support for me.

It is a good day. And a good life.

I went to eat lunch at a local Mediterranean restaurant. It was delicious! I felt happy.

I feel my creativity springing forth like rays of light in the darkness. I am ready to turn inward and begin surrounding myself with my own art and words. I am passionate about my work and I think about ways that I can create the change I want to see in the world around me. All the while, I try to stay healthy and sane and love those around me.
